The « Evolving-Paintings » videos are exploratory strolls through light and color into the heart of the medium. Playful wonderings and timeless abstractions accompanied by sound.

Today, as a deliberate counterpoint to the prevailing harshness of our times, I want to create positive environments. A joyful spirit often inhabits my work.

These initial light recordings, the primary basis of the videos, are then captured by modern technologies, immersing us into a contemporary language.

My projects are created as a reaction with a given location: its social context, structural components, and general atmosphere.

My artistic choices have been built around the concepts of Beauty, Joy, Harmony, and Openness to contribute to the release of positive energies and the impulse to « Nourish Life. » I sincerely believe that Beauty can be apprehended as a positive seed for this purpose.

« Evolving Paintings » Video-Paintings

This is an immersive installation by the artist Carmen Hoyos. It comprises 10 large video projections and 12 “Augmented Realities”. Through the different spaces of the Centre Culturel LaVallée, these pieces take us on a joyful voyage through Light and Colour—an imaginary journey between reality and illusion, soft, fluid, or powerful energies.

These videos, harmoniously installed, explore the different levels of the architecture. They are projected like a second skin placed on walls and floors.

Wednesday, November 1st: Pre-Opening for information and communication.

Thursday, November 2nd: Vernissage from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Friday, November 10th: Artist accompany visits of the public and schools.

Wednesday, November 8th: Nocturne from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Sunday, November 12th: Closing event from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Open from November 1st to the 12th, 11 am to 7 pm (closed on Monday, November 6th).
