La PBSM a notamment un rôle de représentation des usagers et des proches et met un point d’honneur à mener des campagnes de déstigmatisation et de sensibilisation à la santé mentale.\nUn des moyens de déstigmatisation est d’offrir au grand public un regard neuf sur la santé mentale et de participer à sa démythification auprès de la société dans son ensemble. L’art en santé mentale est un langage qui permet de s’exprimer autrement\, en dehors des sentiers thérapeutiques classiques. L’expression artistique permet aux artistes de communiquer et de manifester leur créativité à travers différentes formes d’art.\nLa Plateforme organise annuellement\, depuis 2007\, une exposition ainsi que des portes ouvertes appelées « Artiesten Parcours d’Artistes (APA) ». Pour ce faire\, elle travaille en collaboration étroite avec une vingtaine d’institutions bruxelloises\, toutes actives dans le champ de la réhabilitation psychosociale. Ces Institutions ont chacunes des histoires propres et répondent à des modèles de prise en charge très variés.\nL’exposition APA 2026 proposera des œuvres produites sur la base du thème “Arborescence – Bois”. Par ailleurs\, les institutions participantes à l’APA – tant néerlandophones que francophones – ouvriront leurs portes afin de créer les conditions d’une rencontre entre\, d’une part\, le grand public et\, d’autre part\, des personnes en souffrance psychique et les institutions qui les accueillent. Ces portes ouvertes seront organisées à partir du vendredi 20 mars et se poursuivront jusqu’au vendredi 3 avril\, selon l’agenda de chaque institution.

Depuis 2020\, Les Semaines du Son sont placées sous l’égide de l’UNESCO.\n\nLa Semaine du Son.Oor offre une nouvelle opportunité pour la présentation des créations et des recherches dans un cadre inhabituel et hors des circuits classiques. Des « laboratoires” sonores\, où la créativité\, l’expérimentation\, la rencontre et la sensibilisation sont au cœur de l’action\, font découvrir différents aspects du son de manière accessible.\n\nLa 16ème édition belge aura lieu à Bruxelles entre le 26 janvier et le 1er février et la semaine suivante\, du 2 au 8 février 2026\, dans plusieurs villes en Flandre et en Wallonie. L’exposition raconte une histoire en miroir où se reflète une analogie libre entre le document image et la création contemporaine. Inspired by a 2012 Russian law\, several authoritarian regimes are now experimenting with so-called “foreign agent laws.” In Russia\, this legislation has severely weakened political opposition\, civil society\, and independent media. It asks organisations receiving more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register with the authorities as “foreign agents.” \nIn his report Foreign Agent Laws: A Worrying Trend\, Christian Holland notes that “The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled that the archetypal foreign agent law violates fundamental rights and exhibits the ‘hallmarks of totalitarianism’\, imposing punitive sanctions on NGOs and curtailing journalists’ ability to participate in public life.” In Georgia\, a similar law was introduced in 2023 but was withdrawn after significant public and media resistance—only to be passed by the pro-Russian government in May 2024. Other countries are following. In May 2025\, an EU member—Viktor Orbán’s Hungary—considered adopting such a law. Though it has been postponed\, the threat still looms over the survival of Hungarian independent media. \nSo\, how can we resist the interference of regimes seeking to suppress independent journalism? Can pan-European solidarity movements and networks help push back against these authoritarian measures?
